I notice warm air at first too and just figured it was residual engine heat. After a while the air temp more closely represents outside air. This seems a little more exaggerated than other cars, but I've always noticed this effect.

My front defroster gives me the option of having the AC on or not. I like this, why use the AC if I don't have to?

My rear defogger works just fine.
