Default Re: Oil Change Procedure?

I use car ramps. I pull onto them with the front and drain the oil. I also jack up the driver side slightly to get all the oil in the pan to drain out. Some folks here use a topsider which sucks the oil out through the dipstick tube but I personally like to crawl under the car and have a look around under the engine to assure myself that nothing is leaking. Having that splash cover under the engine will not allow a small leak to drip and show up on the driveway or garage floor. Use Mobil 1 0W40 and change your filter then add 8 quarts ,run engine and check level before adding any more oil.
