I was going to wait a month... and just take the heads off to get them shaved down for greater compression... but the project was kicked forward when a crank pulley installation went wrong and I needed to change the woodruff key. And in order to do that, I have to remove both upper and lower oil pans and the front chain cover... so I said screw it, while I'm in there I might as well do the heads and do everything. So I ordered cams and shaved the heads and changed all my seals and gears and gaskets. Unfortunately the cams never came through, and I grew impatient and put the thing back together. BUT I changed the bolts on the cam gears to make a 6+ hour cam installation only take 30 minutes when I do finally get to put them in. I cancelled my Schrick order and am going with something custom, so I'll be glad when I can do a quick cam swap on the fly without taking off the front cover.

Oooh, look at the pretty head.
