this is why i love this board. you guys are great, thanks for the advise. went to the dealer today...ugh!! said there was no repair kit for this problem and would have to replace the top. $2,350 out the door. went to two vinyl repair shops...same thing. said it was "vulcanized" at the factory. one said he could fix it but wouldn't advise lowering the top afterwards...ever. obviously not an option. also over the last 2 years i've noticed 3 used tops on ebay for $500. of course they aren't there now so i reluctantly plopped down $1,790 for the top to be ordered. supposed to be here under a week. of course its raining here every day...panama city... and i guess i'll have to get rides to work. i REFUSE to put a trash bag on my baby and have her sit in the parking lot for all to see!! well, that's my story. i'll keep you all updated...sigh.
