How many miles depends on your mpg and how much gas you have left in the tank.

According to the manual, the gas tank holds 16 gal, and the light should comes on when there is 2 gal left. But i think i read something about "2 gallons of reserved gas??" (maybe I'm wrong) so does it means 16+2 or 14+2 total?

On my car, usually the light comes on after used about 13 or 14 gallons of gas. I never run out of gas, but one time I was able to sucks up 17 gallons of gas from the tank before I get to the gas station, so I believe there are at least 4 gallons left when the light comes on??
