Of course there will be gains with K&Ns the technology behind them is simple clean less air therefore let more air in... the results will be a gain in performance, but on the other hand the engine will be dirtier than your basic oem filters... Tests based on our engines have shown decently large gains with these filters... In some cases people track their cars without filters completely and YES it does have noticeable gains, but for everyday driving this is not valid option, but K&Ns very well could be...

As for the recharge kit I guess you can go that route, but for the price they are selling might as well change them once in a while for new set...
