You can add my name to the happy bunch that has performed this mod. It is amazing the difference in the audio quality. I used 220uF 100v caps from parts express.

My 10 cents, I don't like to solder any multi-strand wires because it creates a vibration weak point and can cause a break. Crimping is used to prevent this type of failure. I used wire nuts to connect the capacitors to “tail” wires and then “spade” crimp connectors for the tail wires to the crossfire wiring. This makes it easy to remove the capacitors.
