I've just reached a "Milestone" of sorts. For the first time I've crossed the 100,000 mile mark in a car that I purchased brand new. I've owned it for 5 yrs. 7 mos.
My '02 Honda Civic LX coupe 5-spd. rolled over 100k yesterday. It's not the first time I've crossed the 100k barrier in one of my cars, just none that I've owned from the beginning.
Everything still operates like day one.
No unusual wear on the fabric seats, or broken plastic interior parts.
No rust on the body, or head light fogging. I've even waxed it a few times.
Actually, I haven't had any issues with it what so ever, and it's never been back to the dealer for any service at all.
Sometimes I even get better than 40 MPG with it, at highway speeds.

The only things that I've replaced on it is:

4 tires
1 air filter
2 wiper blades
24 oil filters
84 qts. of oil
3,125 gal. of gas
10 gal. of windshield washer fluid.

Is it any wonder I recommend Honda's to everybody?
I wonder if I'll be able to speak as highly of my Crossfire after 100k miles?
Maybe not, but I bet I'll have some more exciting memories, that's for sure.
