Actually it would be nice if you can form these into inverted airfoils, so as to add a little more downforce to the rear end.
I cannot speak scientifically, but the prototype (thinner one) has been on my car for several months now. I have taken it on sustained high speed runs (40-50) miles several times. They are as tight as when they were installed.
Again not scientific, but seat of pants feels like slightly more grip. The diffuser is actually tilted at about the same angle as the SRT wing. It also is about 12" deep so air flow does go over and under it. I suppose we could use the thinner material with a tapered upswing to the trailing edge. That would definitely produce more down force and give the appearance of being thicker.
