I would never risk driving hard or even normal on a tire that has had it's sidewall or shoulder patched. Only the tread area should be patched.

It would be good to 'limp' you somewhere, but not much else in my opinion.

Replace the tire as soon as you possibly can.

As to the tire being on backorder... www.tirerack.com ... they should have it in stock and can ship it to a local installer. I'm betting you could get it in a day or two.
