Default Re: Car in an accident

I think they replace what was damaged, not how it came out of the factory. So if I had an SRT bumper that's what goes on.

I might be able to drop it off and have them assess the damage and then hopefully I can drive it until they receive all the parts and possibly paint the bumper and fender (that's if they do it "off" the car). Who knows, I'll keep updating.

Funny thing, I had a little incident with a parking pylon over the summer that messed up the paint on the bumper and I also had a scratch I accidentally put on the fender when I was installing the SRT bumper. Sucks that the car got hit but I'll have a newly painted front-end after everything gets fixed. I might be able to get the driver-side fog light replaced as well (if they think it was a part of the accident) since the inside bulb cover popped off of it.

All I know now is that I'm going to Xpel the front of the car so I don't get rock chips on a freshly painted bumper.
