Can anyone tell me the justification for charging $40-100 to mount rear tires.

I have heard these excuses from tire dealers...

1.) We have to take extra precautions to protect your rims.

2>) We have to reprogram your computer

3.) It takes 2 hours to mount 1 tire.

4.) It costs more to operate the machinery to mount a 19" low profile tire.

Don't you love it when places like Town Fair refuses to sell you 2 tires when your front tires have planty of thread...then ***** if u don't buy them there?

What is involved in the tire pressure monitoring system? Anyone know how it works?
