I have heard these excuses from tire dealers...

1.) We have to take extra precautions to protect your rims.

2>) We have to reprogram your computer

3.) It takes 2 hours to mount 1 tire.

4.) It costs more to operate the machinery to mount a 19" low profile tire.
$40-$100 per tire or for the pair?

$40 for the pair isn't too bad these days...I wouldn't pay more than $50. Mounting a 255/35 street tire on a 19x9 should be cake for anyone who knows what they're doing. You to make sure they know that there is a TPMS system...they'll have to be a bit more careful (which might justify a few more bucks than if you didn't have TPMS).

If you're trying to jam a 315/30 race tire on there, then they might be able to make some excuses about how hard it is, but any oem-size street tire should be cake...not even 2 hours for 4, let alone 1.
