Re: my new XFIRE
Another newbie here (well technically not yet). I've been into Jeeps my whole life and with gas prices and school (UTI Exton) I'm ready to get into some speed instead of rocks and mud. My grandmother's birthday was Oct 20 and my mom owns an 04 Roadster she let me drive it. Coming back home down Rt 1 bypass in Delaware she said I can "open it up". So I did. Next thing I know she screams at me wanting to know how fast I was going. Doing 145 with the top down. ABSOLUTELY FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!! Right as she chimes in the radar detector starts going crazy so I thought it be prudent to slow down. After that I want my own. It's only a matter of time.
I am looking @ some on Ebay and also around here. I'll be trading in my Rubicon for the Crossfire. One question though, do the SRTs only come in auto?? If so that's gay, I want the 6speed. I did find a guy on Craigslist offering the Supercharger and intercooler for 700. Would it be hard or not good @ all to put that on a non SRT model with the 6 speed?
I figure with the convertible season over I should be able to get a deal on a roadster it seems as though coupes run 13K to 16K and convertibles run 15K to 20K with the SRTs at a premium.
I would prefer an SRT (with a manual) the pewter or charcoal metallic with the two tone interior Cedar and charcoal. But most importantly a 6 speed. 400 a month in gas alone for the Jeep is absolutely retarded. But the days with the top down and doors off make it worth it. Too bad they are over this year. This should be my last year of having to worry about snow. After school ends, hopefully I'll be picked up with BMW or Mercedes and going down no further north then southern SC and no further west than LA.
THIS IS WHY I "NEED" A CONVERTIBLE...
Don't even own on "yet" but I am hooked. only a matter of time now....
Talk to you soon
