I am wondering about trans fluid level. Is there any way to check it ourselves? The local dodge guys are complete morons. (my intercooler pump went out two months ago and they said there was no such thing as an intercooler pump on this car and that the supercharger was supposed to cut out like that and fall on its face ----so I would rather not let them touch it) Thanks for all the feedback.
Mine does, did, the same thing. The SC clutch engages at around 2500 rpms. If you are getting on it, you won't really hear it. When you are just leaving from a stop nice and easy, the transition from not engaged to engaged is less pronounced, and the slipping will occur audibly. Go to the MB forum and search for this. They've been dealing with this for a lot longer than we have. I still think it is the SC clutch. Roll your windows down and see if you can hear it. You can even try to hold your door open on a secluded road. If it's in the trans, you'll hear it come from under the car with the door open. That's how I traced it to the engine compartment.
