Default Re: Le Big News...texas Srt6

My neighbor is a MB Tech working at our local dealer - he could be considered a bit of a 'redneck' and offered to swap my pulleys for a 6-pack when I decide to order them.
Is that considered the 'cowboy way' also?

I haven't really liked the idea about 'jamming' the TC either...but it has worked for a lot of folks. I hope to have my neighbor install mine.

I spoke with Erick today and he seems quite knowledgeable. He does seem to think that Evotech is a better route than inmotion or speedinovations for tuning, but he 'reps' them so I guess you can't blame him for being biased.
He said that Evo tech is more capable of fine tuning for specific mods. He said the other guys use 'out of the box stock' tunes, where as Evo can manipulate it. I told him that the 'other guys' offered to re-tune for each mod, and he wasn't aware of this and thinks that maybe they are now able to get more detailed when tuning.

He also said that Evo charges $100 each time they re-flash it as opposed to the 'free' reflash on the InMotion.

It seems that the same tuning that Evo does is being offered by the 'other guys' for less money, and you still get free re-flashes from the 'other guys'. I believe this has been mentioned before on this board, just re-itterating (before someone bites my head off for repeating it )

I plan to drop by and see them on Dec 7th, and maybe leave either my car or my co-worker's car there for a weekend so he can do some test fitting, measurements, etc.

As of now, he is working out of his home garage - and he's in the process of trying to get a shop financed and off the ground.

He definitely has some good ideas in the works and seems like he will go through with them. He also seems like he is willing to take some input, so if you have any ideas and may want something manufactured, it may be worth your while to email or call him.

I'll keep you all posted.
