I will do that - I ordered the 185mm Pulley - but I will ask about the 181.
The ASP 178 pulley claimes 20 HP over stock and LET claims their 185 Pulley provides an additional 12 HP over the 178 pullies (without tune) for a total gain of 32 HP over stock - just to give you an idea.

I was told the factory belt works with the 185 pulley - but you need a smaller water pump pulley and idler pulley. Yes he uses a fluid balancer.

The question is at what heat level does it start to roll into the negitive gain area. Also what are the rpm tolerences for the blower from the factory, and what rpm are you achieving with the 181. My thoughts are if the 181 was free and easy horsepower, Renntech probably would have gone that route, I'm not a Renntech fan but the do have their roots from Mercedes so the knowledge should be there.
These questions would require Ericks response - I am sure Renntech wants to provide reliable - uncomplicated and safe performance mods that don't require a lot of tweeking from the buyer. I am sure that above 14% (178) ECU tuning is required.
I trust in the product and I am willing to try it. I am sure that an ECU tune will be required in order to engage the SC 20% before stock once the pulley is installed, plus I will want to maintain AFR close to save. I am not going to be track racing - just street racing from time to time plus enjoy that added pull when city driving. I also believe that I will need the colder iridium plugs to avoid pre-detonation
