Just bought an 04 coupe two weeks ago (22k miles).
It's about as perfect as you expect to find for a car with 22k miles.

So, yesterday I take it to my local 5-star dealer for a state inspection so that I can get it registered.

They have me in and out in one hour - of course it passed with flying colors. Get home and get the paperwork ready to take to MVA to get it registered and notice a big scratch on the side bolster of the passenger seat. Looks like someone got in with a screwdriver in their pocket.

I took pictures and sent a fax to the service manager telling him the scratch wasn't there when I dropped it off.

He calls me back quickly and tells me he talked to the inspector and that no one sat in the passenger seat so that it couldn't have happened there.

I know it wasn't scratched when I dropped it off, but there is no way I can prove anything.

I may stop crying in a few weeks.
