My car was indeed a 'new' car bought this year (August 2007) with 18 miles...so it definitely sat for a while.

Did they mention what was wrong with the pump? I'm wondering if it is a seal of some sort that allows the pressure to leak-down, therefore the car doesn't prime itself correctly.

The car seems to run just fine afterwards.
