absolutely not ... my jeeps 2.5 uses 87 octane but it produces about 100 hp ... the timing in this 3.2 is advanced far beyond what 87 octane can support, if you get lucky the knock sensors will save your engine for some time, but engine damage is guaranteed in the long run ... cracked piston ring lands, dropped valve, cracked head or block ... take your pick but that is what 87 octane run in this car will lead to over time (the components are of excellent construction so destruction should not be instant but catastrophic when it does come)...
