You can't honestly think that you would melt the welds:? Come on, man... I'm not trying... HONESTLY.... to find fault in what you are saying, but when you say something like this I can't sit quietly. I'm really not picking on you.... :cry:

Exhaust heat is not going to melt anyones welds if the headers are uncorked... You are right when you mention the noise. The other problem would be the extreme heat (but not enough to "melt the header welds") on the floor pan. Might do some serious damage to the carpet and padding.
