as long as we are on the subject, does anyone have stopping distance figures for the very high speeds??

i spent some time around highway design, years ago, and i recall that the standard is something like "line of sight = 1 1/2 X stopping distance of average veh. at 80mph". that may not be exactly right but it's something like that.

it's funny, state law here is based on some funny formula like "the speed at which 80% of the cars travel".

anyway, i'm curious about high-speed stopping characterists, distances etc. i would expect that the short wheel base would add to the excitment if you have to lock it up at speed.
