Since then I have always jacked my crossfire up on jacks and placed mouse traps with peanut butter on them around the jacks to catch them before taking up winter in it. This method has worked well for me and I've caught about a dozen or so mice every year and have seen no signs of them in my car.
We have gone with the jack/trap too. We left the tires on, as now no worry about flat spots, left battery in too, will go out turn car over get it good and warm, I'm thinking you could put it in gear as well get the fluids moving around. Gary put that gas stable stuff in. As of today it's put away for the winter.
