Anyways... I have a few stories to share about the Florida highway patrol...

First, I was in a lifted Jeep rubicon unlimited on 35's and loaded to the gills with winch custom bumpers front rear and all that... to make things even worst on the weight aspect it was loaded down top to bottom with stuff as I was moving from Florida to Tennessee... 5 am on highway I-75 the highway was empty except for a few semis... I was doing 82 miles an hour to try to get a good break on traffic through Atlanta (Didn't want to hit it at rush hour)...

Anyways... I see a cop in the median and there were a few semis near me as well... cop pulls me over... I immediately tell him I have a number of guns in the car *my carry and various rifles that I have for my previous job* (carry weapon is loaded and in a false compartment in the dash...I have a concealed weapons permit... its legal... no worries) anyways... he tells me to take it out and unload it.. which I do... I hand him my licenses concealed and driving... as well as my insurance information and registration...

He tells me to wait outside the car goes back to his car for a few minutes and hands me a ticket... no explanation or anything... 82 in a 75... then he asks me what i'm doing with a loaded jeep... I explain to him that i'm moving to Tennessee and going to college... then he says that I need to go over to the county seat to pay this ticket... blah blah blah... 82 in a 75... in a loaded down jeep... that was the maximum speed I could do... ohh well...

Also... a few years previous... I was riding with a friend of mine in his dodge diesel (with all kinds of upgrades... propane injection... ECU converters... larger turbo/fan blades... you name it...) anyways... we get pulled over by florida highway patrol on I-95 (we were headed to savannah for a race) we were doing about 110 or so...

So he steps up to the door and asks for my friends "Pilot license" and registration (I guess thinking he was funny) so I friend being a licensed pilot grabs his FAA license and insurance card... as well as the registration out of the glove box and hands it to the officer with a big smile...

Needless to say the cop laughed a bit... and after a "Stern talking too" let him off with a warning...

I have another story as well... but it involves Knoxville PD... and a "little white lie?" so... I will keep that to myself!!!

btw 911... were too close not to at least meet up every now and then and hit some of the really nice roads around here... I know there are alot of X-fires in the area... what would you say about a monthly meetup at a restaurant sometime?
