Default Re: Police using motorists for fundraising

I'm someone who likes to travel at about 80 mph down the interstate, but I also understand that traveling 71 in a 70 mph speed zone is speeding. I'm not likely to get pulled over for doing 71, but I could be. You also have to remember a speed limit is exactly that a maximum speed limit, not a round about speed limit. Do I think it sucks, yeah I do. I'm one of those people that likes to drive fast, but never tail gates. To me that's the real problem. If someone in front of me is doing 70 I back off 3 links and travel with them until I get an opportunity to pass. I'd like to see 100 to 140 mph speed limits on some of the interstates here in Tennessee. I feel very comfortable at these speeds.

Something that makes me laugh is. I will do 80 in a 70, but won't get into the HOV lane if I'm the only one in my car. I just don't get my reasoning I'm already breaking the law.
