Tyre Wear
Hi,
I am after some advice re tyre wear.
History of our car
My wife recently purchased a 2005 Roadster with 13.8K miles on the clock. When we went to look at the car in the main STEALER showroom I noticed that the offside rear tyre was slightly flat, we finally agreed a price and the STEALER said they would sort out the tyre before we picked up the car.
When we picked the car up the tyre looked OK but within a few days this tyre was down to 10 PSI, this was a nail close to the edge of the tyre so the STEALERS agreed to replace this under duress.

Our blower is pulsing erratically so I took the car to a STEALER nearer my home and they end up ordering a blower control module (1 to 2 weeks back order).
During this visit they give the car a free health check and find that the nearside rear tyre has only 2mm of tread on the inside and 6mm on the outside. Unless the car has been running with a soft tyre on the offside for sometime causing the car to wear the opposite tyre on the inside or the rear end tracking is out or a suspension bush is shot causing the rear wheel camber to change I cant think why this would occur.
Is wear on the inside edge of the rear tyres a common problem?
The cars still under warranty but you know what it’s like, they will claim the cars been curbed and I will end up paying a fortune to sort this problem.
Any ideas or things I could check, my trade is engineering and if I can prove what’s caused this problem then I can make a rational decision and either fix it myself, get it fixed under warranty or pay the STEALERS to sort it.
