Pitting and Corrosion on Intake Mani and SC
Well, I'm kinda wondering about this. I've searched and can't really find a definitive answer to this...
My car currently has just over 20,000 miles on it. It was originally a Michigan car and the "textured" aluminum parts on the engine such as the Intake Manifolds (with the SRT6 script), Supercharger, Throttle Body etc. have some serious pitting and corrosion on them. I want to get them back to like new condition. I was thinking about just sticking a wire brush wheel in my cordless drill and going to town on them, but with all the little recesses and holes in the Supercharger, this would take 6 months... Does anyone know of a product that can fix this corrosion issue without damaging/dulling the finish even more. I can't really use a polish on them, because of the "sand cast" texture of them. I have the NeedsWings intake and want to paint the SRT6 script to match the emblems and put my Engine plague on but, but I need to take care of this first... Thanks...
