LED Tail Lamp Question
Hello all!
I'm new to the forum after buying a Crossfire just two months ago! I read through a lot of the old postings and can't wait to start performing some of the mods. I've installed LED tail lamps on my Crossfire, however I didn't put in resistors. While both lamps light up as parking lights, only one of them activates when I hit the breaks. I assume I need to install resistors so I bought a pair. What I don't know is which of the three wires should I be bridging with the resistor? Black & Red, or Black & Green? Anyone have input?
PS: for anyone curious the LED lamps I got were 18-LED 24.5mm wide and fit fine. They are the least bright I would suggest and may upgrade to brighter pair. Further, they came with clear plastic caps over the LED circuitry that I would strongly suggest removing if anyone purchases a similar pair. The covers tend to pop off and then you have to take the whole tailout out and shake it upside-down to get the cover back out. After measuring it appears (untested) that up to a 26mm wide lamp would fit into the socket.
Thank you!
Anthony
