Cal driving where the expression "Keep Right Except to Pass" has no meaning. When traveling through the midwest the other month on vacation I was completely amazed by the discipline exhibited by other drivers - drive in the right lane, pass in the left, then immediately get back into the right lane again. The only times I've ever seen that in So. Cal is when returning from Las Vegas at 2 in the morning.
