behind the grill is a hard line, think it's for the AC, that must be unbolted and pushed back to make room for the filter, plus you must relocate one of the horns to the drivers side.

Second the silicone hose is conformed to an oval shape where it passes through the radiator area, don't think it will be a problem or cause much restriction because it is still the same 3" but in an oval shape.
