Oh yea, I meant to ask, did Erich, sp?? at LET say what they do to the computer when they flash it for the 185mm? Can the fuel system (fuel pump) handle the extra boost on top end...I have heard that it is the limiting factor, but have not been able to find many details.

If not, no worries, I will probably give him a call after Christmas just to touch base with him about the setup.

Thanks again for the info Man!

It is Erick, and from what he said ( & others on this forum and other MB forums) is that if you install a 178mm Pulley the stock settings on our ECU's will adapt just fine. If you install the 181mm pulley; the ECU will also adapt fine but you should install Iridium spark plugs to avoid pre-detonation at high RPMs.

With the 185mm pulley - you will need to adjust the ECU and install the Iridium plugs.

Upgrading your air intake system is a "good thing" when installing any overdrive pulley and an ECU tune is also good as they can set the fuel maps, pulley clutch parameters and other adjustments. I am not very knowledgeable with ECU's so Erick would be a great person to talk to and he is easy to reach.

According to AMGrasoul (192mm pulley) and Erick (185mm pulley) – the only time either experienced fuel starvation was with headers installed (see post #14 on this thread) – (both have AMG C32’s) – neither had fuel problems before installing the headers. Erick also told me that if I had problems, he would exchange for a 181mm pulley so I feel there is very little risk installing the 185mm pulley.

I will send Erick an email with a link to this thread and ask him to answer/clarify a few of our questions.

Good luck with your projects...
