I couldn't believe that!! Mustangs are a dime a dozen, don't have Mercedes components, and are straight axle, unsophisticated musle cars. Don't get me wrong, I like Mustangs and owned a brand new 2002 GT for a few years. This goes to show you how uninformed the public is.
On another, yet similar note, I'm willing to bet that the main reason people don't buy Crossfires is the fact that the badge says Chrysler. It's the same reason that women (and the men who buy for them) spend ridiculous sums of money on a certain brand of hand bag (the ones with big Cs all over them). Those particular hand bags are made in China! Many are made with canvas and thin leather. Not to mention they are blatant advertising devices for that company since their brand logo is plastered all over the darn things. The majority of Americans don't really care about what lies beneath a brand name, they only care about showing off and the bragging rights to do so. If you put a Mercedes logo or a BMW or Porche logo on our cars and sold them for 35-40k, they would fly off the lots. It's sad really about today's society; however, I can't really complain because I am a true enthusiast who laughs all day knowing what it sitting in my Garage and how much I spent on it. THANK YOU INGNORANT BRAND SNOBS!
