I've read this entire thread, and saw nothing that should step on any of the Crossifre community's toes... providing security is present within the individual. Sure, the whole thing was a stab at us. But should it really offend us to the point to where we lose our cool? Nah... c'mon guys. A wise man once said: it is far better to keep your mouth shut and appear ignorant, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
I'm a Ford owner for Pete's sake... believe me, I got used to catching hell from the bowtie guys just as much as the X-fire peeps get trash talked to them by the import crowd. That's why you simply smile, nod, and hope for an opportunity in the future to line up beside one and humble it. It's a far more impressive way to handle the situation, and the point will still be made.
I'm sure Andrew (our admin) would agree on a few of those points, as he strikes me as a standup guy.

Thanks for calming the waters a little, at first I thought this was just a terrible idea, for awhile I didn't think I'd find a decent person on here that understood that I'm don't really care if the Xfire is a bad or a good car. People have their opinions, it obviously has sold in a good qauntity for it being around for a few years. Which goes without saying that it has to be a good car atleast! Hell, I test drove it when I was browsing for a new car and it got my attention, twice!
It's just typical for X car owner to hate X car owner, and I find humor in making jokes about the Xfire, much as I'm sure you guys find humor in laughing at the 8, nothing wrong with it, but taking it down to a juvenile level where you try to make personal insults about someones avatar, or daring them to race with you, you're taking A BIT over-board.
C'mon guys, we're all people here, we just drive different cars, just laugh at come back with something more witty than insults.
For isntance, you could make a crack about my tail-lights being good fish tanks, because a lot of the fixtures were flawed and allowed condensation to get it, and eventually they were fish tanks!
But going "AH NAH FOOL, I'LL TAKE U OFF THE LINE SUCKA, I DARE YOU SON!" or "Look at your engine recall, who would want to buy a car that has that?"
You guys seem like pretty intelligent people (except irwin, god help you!), you can come up with a joke atleast I'm sure other than just reposted recalls or double dog dares, or worse, making a joke out of my joke avatar?? lololol Oh man, the irony in that one!
