I found this adapter on a Mercedes SLK R170 website

I couldn't find any information on it, so I was wondering if anyone had tried it? It isn't a FM Modulator but what? Just an interface IMO...but does it plug-in to the factory Infinity radio and wiring harness without any mods to the connector?
