Re: I'm keeping the traction control on for now on unless I'm the only one on the road.
I don't know if the previous owner somehow totaly disengaged the TC, or my TC just doesnt work well once you press the button off. This aint the first time it has been off that the TC did not kick in to save my ***, LOL. This is the second time, the first time I was making a turn also when it happenned. That time I was just going sideways through the intersection so I just went with the flow but this time my rear end was fish tailing like I had it floored or something. I maybe pressed the gas about a lil over half way down when it initially started losing it, although it was a fast jab of the pedal to that point. I was too busy trying to keep it going forward to check if the TC light came on at all. My car is a snarling beast once that button goes off. Well let me correct myself in that it wasnt a full donut, it was a 3/5 ingulfed in tire smoke. Kinda cool, but friggin scary too. When this happens my gas pedal seems to get really sensitive and just touching it makes the tires spin like all 310 ft/lbs of torque are trying to unleash. My car is stock by the way. Anyways, that friggin button is staying in the on position unless Im doing a straight forward launch.
P.S. Im pretty sure in straight forward launches with the TC off I don't recall it coming on at any point either. I'm going to try turning it off and flooring it to see if my TC comes on at all.
