Even in the SRT this car certainly isnt the fastest on the road...I think of it as more of a cruising on an open hwy kind of car..No?
Bone stock the SRT6, as tested by Road & Track, runs 0-60 in 4.8 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 13.3. The Limited does the same in 6.4 and 14.7 respectively. Again, these are magazine times, but at least they are by the same magazine. Still, that's quite a difference. I have a modified PT Cruiser that has covered the 1/4 mile in 14.4 (time slips to prove it) and my Crossfire certainly doesn't feel significantly slower than that.

There are a few chip tuners out there that will definitely improve the performance of the non SRT6, but to bring one up to the same level would cost a pretty penny.

I will say that coming from the Miata to the Crossfire I had a bit of a learning curve with the throttle response. The Miata was very, very lively but the Crossfire's fly by wire throttle was bugging me at first. I considered a Sprint Booster but eventually adapted my driving style and now no longer see the need for one. I had no issues with throttle response on the road course at Buttonwillow in stock configuration, further convincing me I do not need the Sprint Booster. I do want the chip tuning though!!!
