Default Re: Automatic vs. Standard

I can't imagine owning a sports car, especially a two seater convertible, and having an automatic. I would have loved the SRT6 if it came with a stick and would have popped for the additional money, but for a couple seconds to 60 and +8 mph top end (how many SRT6 drivers have ever taken it to the governor?) it wasn't worth it. And I haven't opened mine up all the way - only to 140 last year and 135 this fall.

Yes, it is a PITA to drive in traffic. I commute a lot to Detroit and always end up in some stop and go, but I worry more about some clown rear-ending me out of carelessness than a sore left leg. But the ability to actually drive the car and choose the gears makes it all worth while, especially when it wails through the gears. More good news, at 26,000 miles the shift from 1st to 2nd is either wearing in or I finally learned the proper groove to make it slide into gear. The other gears are just fine.

My vote: STANDARD.
