I must admit, the thought of driving a standard excites me.

It would be interesting to learn your opinions and share in your driving experience, Auto vs. Standard

Cheers!
I tried a 6 spd coupe as the first XFire I drove. But, the car just didn't have a slick enough shifter for me (but my experience goes back to 4 spds with Hurst shifters). It was balky and there seemed to be a lot of clutch travel to me. The next XFire I tested was a 5 spd auto and I immediately felt much more at home in the car. So, based on that very limited comparison, I went with the auto. When I bought my second XFire (roadster), I went with an auto.

If I were driving a pony or muscle car from days gone by....it would be a four speed, no doubt about it. But I am not, so the XFire auto just feels right to me. To each his/her own.
