I know what you're talking about, but the OEM Y pipe is PERFECT, it just needs to have the casting burrs ground down and polished on the inside... It's Magnesium and weighs less than a pound... The bung for the MAF is perfectly placed... I highly doubt you can improve on this design with Stainless Steel...

And if you really wanted to desigh a perfect CAI for this car, you would run the tubes directly back and upward into the troff where the windshield wiper motor is... it has a perfect laminar airflow over the hood with ambient air and eliminates any heat from the engine bay... It's a simple mfg. process and you can use 4" x 8" air filters that fit perfectly into the troff... the only thing you have to fabricate is the housing and a cover that prevents rain water from entering...
