Default Re: I'm keeping the traction control on for now on unless I'm the only one on the road.

Well let me tell ya story and it's not about a man named Jed(LOL)

When I bought my SRT6 it had 6 miles on it. It was very fast!!. I took the car out with in the first couple of days and shut the traction control off. From a dead stop, t/c off, I punched it and turned the wheel allot and holy #$%# I went around twice before I could stop the car. On take off pulling out of a side street and punch it with t/c off the car gets a little loose then the t/c kicks in and all is well. It seems if you floor it and get is sideways really quickly the yaw can not compensate quick enough.

Sometimes with t/c off it still kicks in but it seems only when I do moderate to light acceleration in a corner. I am scared to death to floor it in a corner even with the t/c on.

I have noticed that my car lights them up in 3 gears now that I have 4500 miles on her.

She is very scary in loose sand I wouldn't drive her on a dirt road so I can't say what that is like.

The car is much more responsive and the t/c interferes less than it was with under 3k miles.

Leave t/c on unless you want to die if you are an inexperienced driver. I shut it off when I want to have fun and am expecting to get sideways other wise under normal driving(normal for me anyways) I leave it on even when hot ******* with another driver.

This car is very light in the rear end. It likes to get sideways. The t/c makes the car driveable, otherwise you wold never be able to punch it up. that assumes that most people really don't know how to power slide or drift a corenr at 50mph.
