Default Re: I'm keeping the traction control on for now on unless I'm the only one on the road.

I will have to go ahead and add my contribution as to how much i HATE traction control.

As we all know the traction control comes on soon as you loose traction. Push the button and its a "little" more forgiving, but not much. So i just pulled out of the car wash and im thinking man i love my car, i think ill get the rear loose in a responsible manner. Push TC button. Make a right hand turn onto the feeder road and GAS it. Back end slides out super fast and really far and before i can correct it like i do in 99% of every other RWD car the TC kicks on. Well, when the TC comes on in the middle of a power slide, you cant use the momentum to steer back into the fishtail. So what happens....the car just kinda bogs....you go sideways in a straight line towards the curb and look like a total dumbass. Arggg....i speed off quiclky as possible to avoid anyone pulling along side me and giving me the "dumbass" look. We all know the look im talking about.

Point is.....TC is for novices. If your an experienced driver TC is dangerous because it is UNPREDICTABLE. Well, at least for me

OK my rant is over.
