Default Re: How much pressure can the Car Jack hold?

I do a lot of home-work so lumber is in easy supply. The crossfire parks right in front of my Compound Miter Saw stand and right next to it is a stack of plywood partials and other cut woods. I guess throwing some lumber under the car would help, but I think the jack stands will work, along with some good chocks (made from timber scraps, natch!

I was surprised that jacking up the car at the front jack point raises the rear tire too.

Thanks for the response. I ended up doing my oil change on ramps. The posts on DIY oil changes were a big help. I hope to be able to contribute some in the future as I dabble in customizing my ride. I really enjoyed a forum a lot like this one with my Acura and I scoured the net right after I drove my SRT home to find this one, because I know the boards like these are where you find everything you need to know. Thanks!!
