Default K&N Filters Questions
I am debating whether to put K&N air filters in my 2005 Limited. I have studied the pros and cons on the forum and have condensed the issue down to these two points:
  1. K&N filters may let more particles into the engine than a stock filter.
  2. Upon oiling the filter oil may be sucked into the engine causing an issue with the sensors etc.

I don't know the answer to point number one but it does concern me because I live in dusty Utah. On point number two what would be wrong in running the K&N's without oil for the first 30,000 miles discarding them and installing new ones. The price difference between stock and the K&N filters is negligible. Please offer me your opinions.
