Another good way to reduce operating temps is to flush your cooling system. We flushed our car and replaced it with a 50/50 blend of distilled water and antifreze with one bottle of water wetter. We do have a modified thermostat, but the car runs much cooler. Only time we get really hot is while racing. Three bottles of Water Wetter can get expensive.

Your right, I did this out of frustration if nothing else. I have to assume that I was already at the 50/50 mark but it did work. It seems the thermostat is a hassle to get to.
