Stick with the velcro backing plates and velcro backed pads. Autodetalingsolutions.com has some package deals right now on the Meguiar's G100 polisher, pads, polish, etc with some great prices. The G100 is just the Meguiar's branded Porter Cable 7424 but they give a lifetime replacement warranty with it. Not too shabby.
