I also had this problem, and thought it was the dreaded transmission leak. Turned out to be the oil pressure sending unit was leaking. Check your engine oil level, and see if it is down. Also look on the inside, with the hood open, and see if there is oil seepage on the belly pan, in the rear on the passenger side, a good indicator it is the oil pressure sending unit.

Covered under warranty. It requires the oil pan be dropped. Chrysler covered the oil, but would not pay for the filter (go figure!) when I asked for a change, since they had to drain the oil for the repair. Dealer did a great job.
