I did drive the car home. It seemed to drive fine, other than having to have the steering wheel cranked to the right to keep it going straight. The BAS/ESP light was on, and I smelled tire smoke when I got home, so either the tire is rubbing on that side, or the toe out is so bad that its eating the rubber just to drive. The driver's side door opens about 1 foot...just enough to slide into the car sideways. I believe the A-pillar at the front of the door has been shoved in about 1/4" to 1/2". My concern is whether they will ever get a door to fit and seal correctly again, and whether they can move the A-pillar back to the correct stock location.

The "girl" that hit me was 23 years old, and the mother of a severly disabled child that was in the back seat of the Honda at the time of the accident, so I didn't really want to make her situation any worse than it already was at that point. I didn't really speak to her for the entire 45 minutes we waited for the police other than to verify that no one was injured.

I have checked values on Edmunds for current condition, and condition with a blemished title, but they won't give salvage title prices. I went up one notch to "rough condition" and it appears there is about a $7000 difference on average, so not sure if I should just ask for that from the Insurance Company, or if I should go talk to the salesman at the dealership that sold me the car and ask him what his actual difference for trade in would be.

I have found one of the best collision guys around...he works on high end cars like Porsche Carrera's, and exotics. Best case scenario would be that he can get my car back to "perfect", AND I'd get a check for $7000+ to boot. Then I might not be as angry with the universe for letting this happen to me. I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best possible outcome.
