If it was going this "lose gears" things before, it would seem to make sense that installing the booster would just make it worse since it's in effect a performance mod. Another way of looking at that would be thinking about the following statement ... "This engine was pinging badly on 87 octane, and it got even worse after I installed the aftermarket supercharger." Of course it would!
