Come to think of it... I did have the transmission leak TSB fixed after those two incidents... then never again. Hmm... there's the answer.
Leaking fluid probably causing either pressure loss or introduction of air in the fluid system of the transmission. The transmission computer senses the pressure loss or change and shuts the transmission out of the driveline to save it from damage.
What a smart car... I wish it hat been smart enough to tell me... "HEY! I'm leaking... get me fixed!"

(Yes I did notice the tiny fluid puddle starting to grow... that's why I got it fixed)
