I can relate. My daughter got into an accident last year in January with my car and was hit on the passenger side. It was a hard hit, but the damage was square in the lower center of the door above the rocker panels. The airbag deployed and since the window was down it was shattered inside the door.

The door was not repairable. Fortunately there was no other damage to my baby or my daughter. I cost me $900.00 for a new door (that was already blk and in perfect condition with an intact airbag), $250 for a roadster window (only one in the state of florida at the time) installed and $200 to have the door panel sewed.

I switched the door panels off my daughters XF (I thought that was only fair) and later bought a new pair on Ebay for $124 that were perfect. The dealer wanted $700 for one panel and the parts dealer I got the door from also wanted $700 for one panel. At the same time I bought the gray/blk door panels, I purcased a set of the cedar/red panels for $149 on Ebay. They will be put in my daughters car on Friday.

Believe me when those of us whom have had there XF's damaged in any way bleed for you and feel your pain. It will work out. The best part is that no one was hurt. And even though the young lady driving the other car was in the ozone, hey, we have all been there, just maybe without the consequences.
